A small family company, an hour from Tromsø.

Arctic Trip runs guided northern lights tours and customized outdoor trips, from one day to several, from our home in Nordkjosbotn. We keep groups small and do our best to make your holiday one you remember.

Small groups: Up to seven people. Bigger groups on request.
All-inclusive: Food, warm clothing and equipment come with the tour.
Local food: Cooked at home or over the fire. Vegetarian on request.

In the dark season

Winter, overnight

Northern lights cabin

Snowshoe walk, wood-fired sauna, a three-course dinner, then a night in a heated cabin with a transparent roof and walls.

September to April, evening and night

Dancing lights

A private chase with Roy for anniversaries, birthdays, proposals and late arrivals. Hot meal, warm clothes and pictures included.

Arctic Adventure

Ski or snowshoe into the mountains with expedition pulks, camp by a lake, fish through the ice and cook over the fire.

In summer

Kayak fishing

Sit-on-top kayaks on the fjord, a lake or a slow river. Fish for cod, char or trout and cook the catch over a campfire.

All year

Customized tours

Skiing, ice fishing, berry picking, midnight sun hikes, photo trips to Senja or Lyngen. Tell Roy what you want and he plans it.

Meet your guide

Roy was born in the Troms countryside and learned from his father how to get food from nature: fishing, hunting and picking berries. From his mother he got a love of cooking, which our guests are happy about.

He has worked as a guide since 2007, mostly for northern lights, skiing and snowshoeing. His wife Reetta guides too, and on some trips you will meet their children, Markus and Ella.
